Have you ever painstakingly cared for a seedling, only later discovering your "baby" is a weed? Peanuts Sprouting!

Heirloom Black Peanut Seedling

The foliage of this seedling looks a bit like fenugreek so far, but hugs more closely to the ground. While I have not grown peanuts, I am told “pegs” will emerge from the plant, and then will turn downward and penetrate the soil. I will keep vigilant watch, and take pictures of this fascinating (to me) phenomenon.
